If you live in NY or FL you will find several "casas de envio", they will inform you about the restrictions.
p.s:remember to pay for insurance!
Good Luck!

I just sent an ipod to colombia, I think it's still on it's way there.

Your cheapest option would be the post office or like someone mentioned, casas de envio. I live in NYC so we have tons of those around, like Costamar for example. I saw they had a sign that they ship to colombia for $1.99 a pound.

Fedex is probably more secure but they charge an arm and a leg.

Some of the tiles which are supposed to protect it from the heat of re-entering the atmosphere were damaged in the takeoff. No one knew about the damage while they were up there, but on the way back down to the ground, some very hot air got into the wheel wells and then the damage progressed until the thing could not fly. Some people on the ground said, why couldn't they escape somehow? Well, the shuttle may look kind of like a plane and fly through the same sky, sort of, but it is like 20 times as high and going 30 times as fast as any jet, so those people were doomed by the time they realized something was wrong. It was pretty serious, and by coincidence it happened very close to the anniversary of the other space shuttle disaster, in late January 1986.

Remember the electricity is the same as North America, and not like Europe. There is not restriction for sending electronic goods. According with the colombian law, it is courier if you ship under 2Kg of gross weight (for postal delivery) or 20Kg for urgent couriers and the value less than USD$1000, and measures under 1.5m at any side. Even though if you use a company like DHL they will do the customs process if it is necesary. just keep the original invoice.
