Anyone in USA put spoon at the mouth of the bottle to keep the gas inside?

That was actually on an episode of Myth Busters. They figured out it worked horribly. The best method they found was to just re-cork the bottle.

They tried this in a magazine I read over the holidays (Real Simple, I think) and it didn't work. Get a real reusable cork to save it for one day, and they had to use a fancy vacuum seal to get it to last longer.
