I don't know your age or where you live so it what I say could be off the wagon:
Suggestions:
Go to a comedy club and you can have your meal at the same time. Invite a group of friends for a fun evening of laughs.
Invite friends over for a night of fun and games. You could play pictionary or one of those types of games that get everyone to interact at your Birthday party.
You could do dinner and a movie.
You could just do a girls night out and go shopping and then go out for dinner.
There isn't much to do in winter. There are some places where I live that have adult games that you pay $20 for tokens and there are 3 floors. The top floor is bowling. The first floor is a restaurant, the second floor is nothing but different games that you put your tokens into and play different games. They have a motorcycle simulator that you can race someone on and other things like that.
I hope you find something entertaining and inexpensive and you enjoy your birthday to the fullest. Have a safe and Happy Birthday.
Merry Christmas.

Hmmm. I'm in the same boat. Ice skating is a good option this time of year. Disco bowling is odd, but fun even if you are a lousy bowler. Since I don't know where you live or how old you are going to be it's hard to make suggestions, but I'd start with looking at things you like to do as well as things you've always wanted to do but never have.

How bout you have a huge party, and invite as many people you can, even if they can't show up, so they can send you money. Then you will have the money to go on a trip somewhere fun, like las vegas, or the beach. Or you can go to some kind of sporting event, that is always fun. Just make sure you enjoy yourself :-).

Treat yourself to a manicure or pedicure or a mini-spa day. If you just choose one thing (ie a manicure OR a pedicure, but not both) you should be able to keep it inexpensive. Or, go see a movie you want to see. Spending your birthday on your own can actually be nice - as in doing an activity you want to do.
Happy Birthday

My favorite recepie from Rachel Ray;
Ribollita con Verdure
Recipe courtesy Rachael Ray; See this recipe on air Saturday Sep. 30 at 8:30 AM ET/PT.
Recipe SummaryDifficulty: Easy
Prep Time: 15 minutes Cook Time: 25 minutes
Yield: 4 servings
This soup is a staple in Tuscany, my favorite place to eat because the food goes back so many generations and remains so simple and not-fussed-with. This bread soup has some vegetable in it, but it is made with beef stock. For a vegetarian version, use all vegetable or wild mushroom stock and skip the pancetta or bacon.
3 tablespoons extra-virgin olive oil, 3 turns of the pan, plus some for drizzling
4 thick slices pancetta or bacon, chopped
2 sprigs fresh rosemary, leaves finely chopped
4 to 6 cloves garlic, chopped
1 medium to large onion, finely chopped
2 medium carrots, diced
1 medium, skinny zucchini, cut into thin slices
Salt and pepper
1/2 cup dry red wine, a couple of glugs [Santa Christina]
1 (15-ounce) can petite diced style crushed tomatoes
6 cups beef stock, available in boxes on soup aisle (recommended: Kitchen Basics brand)
4 cups, about 1/2 pound, chopped or torn stale bread
[Loaf of Publix French bread]
2 (15-ounce), small white beans
[e.g.: Goya brand, smaller than cannellini beans]
4 cups chopped kale or chard
1/2 cup grated Parmigiano-Reggiano, to pass at table
Directions
Heat a soup pot over medium-high heat. [6]
Add oil and the pancetta or bacon and render 4 minutes.
Add rosemary, the garlic, 3/4 of the onions, carrots and zucchini and season with salt and pepper.
Sauté the veggies 7 to 8 minutes, then add wine and deglaze the pot.
Stir in the tomatoes and stock and bring up the heat.
When soup boils, reduce to a simmer [4] and stir in bread and beans.
Pile the greens into the pot and wilt them into the soup. Simmer the ribollita 5 to 10 minutes, stirring soup as it simmers until it thickens to a dense stew-like consistency. A wooden spoon should be able to stand upright in the pot.
Turn off heat, adjust seasonings.
Ladle into shallow bowls, top with grated cheese, and an additional drizzle of extra-virgin olive oil, and a spoonful of reserved finely chopped raw onions.

Invite all your friends and family to a museum and hire a guide to take you around. It could be an art museum or a history museum - just make sure that the guide understands that it is meant to be entertaining rather than educational.
