All the hundreds of questions I see on here about relationship problems and/or questions..if the question doesn't have to do with trust in a relationship, the answers sure do say it!
So, need to see where "trust" ranks in relationships with all of you out there.
What is the most important thing to you in a relationship, I mean one you want to last, not a one night stand?

I have made many mistakes in the past. I am in a relationship for 4 days short of 1 year with a beautiful and wonderful woman who I seriously love and am forever grateful for her being in my life. I have done some stupid things which have lost her trust in me but for some reason her love of me has kept me a part of her life. I do believe that trust is very important in a relationship but also feel that communication is also important as well as each person in the relationship needs to care about the others needs , wants and desires and try be understanding and fulfilll them to the very best of their ability. When 1 partner cares more about satisfying the other and there is very little or no reciprocation or want to even fulfil the others needs, wants or desires this too can be a very big problem in a relationship. People have needs wants and desires and would like nothing more in their life than to have the the one person in their life whom they love, their partner address them. I have made mistakes but would die to save my partners life!!!

Yes trust is important so is communication, honesty, love, etc. all those things are important in a relationship however, I feel that if God isn't 1st in the both of your lives then there can't be any of the rest of the stuff because God is all of the above and then some. You should always always put God 1st no matter what you do especially in a relationship because if you just go out and find someone just how long will it last but if you ask God to send someone your way with the specific qualities that you are desiring then you can't go wrong. 1st God, love, communication, trust and honesty.

I'll ask you a question in reply: Can you love someone you don't trust? For some people this may be true, but for most people it probably isn't. So trust is very important.
A related question is, can you trust someone who has betrayed you in the past? Maybe so, but you will likely find that your definitions have to be a bit flexible for quite a while for that to happen.

Trust is the key, without trust no relationship will last. Easy to say, hard to understand until you've been in a few relationships.

Communication & Appreciation
and Love but that goes without saying.
I agree with you though, trust is the base of a good relationsip but a combination of all the above is what makes it worth while.

Trust is important to people who grew up in families that taught that trust is vital in relationships. It's important to people who are trustworthy.
Trust is definitely the most important to me in any relationship.

trust all the way...you need trust before you can accomplish anything in a relationship....if you dont trust eachother...how far will the relationship go>? i trust my bf so much and he'd never go behind my back or do anything which would make me feel uncomfortable..i feel so lucky to have a guy like him!!
