My precription changed for my eyes so I got new glasses, I picked them up and put them on and everything out of my right eye was blurry, left eye ok. Lenscrafter lady told me it would take a week to adjust. I got about 3 miles down the road and took them off because I almost had a headache. I acually see better without them on! I should be able to put the glasses on and see clear, just like through the Optomitrists machine that determines your prescription right?

I'm a nurse. Take them back, this isn't right. You should be able to see out them right away. You paid for them and you should be able to use them. They are wrong. You deserve the best care, go and get it.

Not always. Sometimes if there is a major change in your prescription it can take up to a week to adjust to new glasses. Try wearing them for short periods of time especially first thing when you get up. Also cover each eye seperately and see how your vision is in each eye with the new glasses on.

Go back to lenscrafters and have the doc recheck your prescription. It took them a month to figure out the reason I was having problems is I have to have a prism in my lens. Be pushy. Its never taken me a week to adjust, and I have a strong prescription. 24 hours, yes. A week, no.

It does not take a week to adjust to new prescription glasses. If that was true, it would take several trips to the doctor to figure out your prescription in the first place. Take the glasses back and ask to have them check. I was given the wrong contacts once, and they changed them no charge.

Have someone at Lenscrafters compare them with the prescription. Someone in the lab could've made a mistake.

Tell the doctor about it. Do not get your advice from attendants.
