You can buy marsala cooking wine at the grocery store, but it isn't very good. Your best bet is to go to the package store and get a bottle of real marsala wine. If you don't know where it is, ask someone who works at the store. Most places have a section of wines that are mainly used for cooking (marsala, port, etc). The extra time and money spent on getting real wine are worth it, believe me. The difference is amazing. After thinking about it, it depends on what state you live in. I live in CT, and you can't sell anything other than beer if you aren't a package store.

It's a wine from Sicily. It tastes a bit like sherry but it's not fortified. They sell it in most wine shops and large supermarkets. If you want it for cooking, a cheap sherry works just as well.

do you mean the liquor or the sauce like in chicken marsala, you can buy the wine at the usual places and you can find the sauce mix in the instant gravy and sauce section of your supermarket.
