It technically doesn't have to if you can resolve the reason it is hurting you so much. Basically meaning if there are problems in the relationship then you should resolve them right when it happens instead of waiting and being hurt even more.

I believe it's because a person gives without reservation. No rhyme or reason, No apologizes necessary. Unfortunately, we are often only capable of doing that for one special person. After we get hurt, it's hard to give of yourself completely again.

the only thing that hurts about my loving is that my husband is a marine and fights in Iraq....but even then, the love is way more than the hurt.

to truly love someone, you have to risk trusting them and giving them your heart to hold. as you do this, you will learn if they are worth loving or trusting, which means sometimes getting hurt...
