over the bed. I am looking for ways to make the window look larger. Any suggestions????

Fasten a curtain rod a bit longer then the width of your bed on the wall behind your bed and attach floor lenght drapes on both sides
to about a foot from the window on each side and put sheers in between. The sheers hanging across the window by being 24 inches wider make the window look bigger and the drapes make it look a lot bigger. Use white sheers and the drapes a solid color.
Pick out a colour from your bedspread or comforter.

Hang drapes that drape the wall at both sides of the windows to make the window appear wider. If you need to make the window look taller, use a valance covered in drapery fabric and hang the drapery from the back of the valance or hang the drapery from high above the windows. If your decor is ornate, you can go with an ornate valance with scallops or other decorative shapes and use patterned fabrics with sheen. If its modern or minimalist, go with something subtle and tailored looking.

Install a curtain rod at the width you would like the window to be. Place light colored tie backs on the curtain rod in such a way that they would provide a frame for the bed.

Curtains make a window look smaller. So have the window frame fully visible and for privacy, just use an attractive blind that can be rolled up.
