You want to have them removed. Brushing and flossing them will definately be a problem later, even if there is not a problem now. You want to be thinking 30 years into the future, not just right now.
You will suffer for a week to 10 days, so schedule your life when you will not be doing anything important the week following your surgery.
I had to postpone my surgery until the week after my vacation. It is better to be at work and suffering then on vacation.
If possible, you want to have all of them removed at once. Yes, the discomfort will be increased, but you just want to deal with it once.

I had all 4 of my wisdom teeth come in at the same time. My dentist told me that I wouldn't need to have them removed unless there was an infection. About a year later, I got an infection. All I had to do was go to the dentist and he took 2 of them out. No biggie. I'd say if they aren't causing a lot of pain for a continuous period of time, just leave them alone. There's no reason for unnecessary surgery.

You should ask your dentist to see those x-rays. I know it kinda seems like dentists just tell everyone to get them out... and that kinda sounds like maybe they're just in it for the money... but keep in mind in days gone by, adults did not still have all of their other teeth by the time the wisdom teeth started coming in, and this left room in the mouth for these new molars.
If you look at the x-rays, you will see whether the teeth are impacted (coming in sideways) and how close they are to the other teeth in your mouth. If they are impacted, they need to come out, and even if they're not impacted, unless you have room for them, your other teeth will inevitably move forward (slowly over time, of course) to make room and this will ruin your smile and also cause 'crowding' which will make it impossible for you to brush and floss any of your teeth properly, resulting in decay, infections, etc.
Good luck.

If your dentist says that they are going to cause problems in the future you should listen to him. Just because you don't notice anything doesn't mean nothing is wrong- your dentist has access to x-rays. You should get them out now before the problems begin because then you will end up spending a lot more money get problems fixed that could have been prevented.

It depends on the context of how they hurt you. Do they hurt as they are still growing in, or do they hurt every now and then?
Wisdom teeth tend to push your other teeth forward as they grow in, so they could end up changing the shape of your smile as well as affect your bite. If they are already bothering you, you might as well have them out.
The surgery to have them out is pretty mild. I've been told that the worst part is as your gums heal, food gets caught in the crevaces, but a good water sprayer helps get the food out.
Good luck!

Get them taken out! They will get very painful very suddenly, then get infected, causing you to swallow pus, and vomit.
