Does anyone know about sat/tan satanism?

That's my cue!

Satanism is based on the idea of Satan as a cross-cultural and ancient idea- not an acutal creature or entity.

Sat/Tan Satanism depends directly on a Sanskrit "pun"- where SAT means essentially a Dark Nirvana, and TAN means the boundless expansion of that force.

It is a theist's approach to Satanism- and one more closely related to Hinduism than is the LaVey Satanism from whence it came. They beleive that the Dark Force that is Sat/Tan existed as an established theistic concept well before Judaism and subsequently Christianity borrowed the name Satan.

While traditional Satanists are strictly Oppositional, Sat/Tan Satanism is a more positive, albeit Dark, religion- they hold that Sat Tan is truly a "supreme force".

There are probably dozens of different religious belief systems and practices that have been called "Satanism." Depending upon the precise meaning given to the word, the total number of Satanists in the world can be anything from a few thousand to four billion individuals. Dialog on the topic is almost impossible because there is such variability in the meaning of "Satanism" and "Satanist."

Satanism seems to be an offshoot of Christianity. It's less than 100 years old. Check out: http://www.religioustolerance.org/satanis1.htm for more information.
