Remember that christians are atheists of most gods too..... i just go one god further.

I wonder how many will say...."yeah well those gods are fake but my one is real"

I completely understand why you're saying what you do about the Greek gods of mythology and that i have studied those gods years in the past. I have also studied the God YAWH as written interior the Holy Bible and positioned it to be not basically precise besides the indisputable fact that the start position of the finished progression of righteousness and salvation is not basically reported from many elements on the time, yet written about intimately with the help of many. those who attempt to lower price the Bible with the help of declaring the Bible comments that the earth is basically 6000 years previous is garbage with the help of those who have not concept out the Bible. we are able to not say from any source interior the Bible how lengthy an afternoon is in God's realm. an afternoon would nicely be a million years or maybe extra. we are able to not position our earthly obstacles on God. He would not stay the same restricted existence as we do. each little thing all of us understand and talk to has a beginning and an end. Eternity is so very unusual to us, yet as a spirit it actual can be a truth. I settle for God's Holy Bible as truth and that i settle for the actual incontrovertible truth that God got here to earth as a mortal human interior this kind of Jesus Christ. God is basically that, God. He has no obstacles as we do. He has no beginning and He has no end. He has continually been and could continually be. the idea isn't so overseas to all of us who ponders about it with an open options. introduction isn't an person-friendly concept to settle for once you imagine about it as an unintended taking position. As wise as we anticipate of we are as we talk, we are able to not create existence. Even scientist as we talk are accepting the idea of wise intervention in introduction of existence. the conception of this taking position by twist of destiny are so distant it’s incalculable.

Great question.

However, I don't think you can *ever* keep away the crazies, not even with a question as well written as this one.

Christians, like any other religious people, are going to be intent on doing what they believe is correct. They believe that if you don't accept Jesus, then you're going to hell. They can't take no for an answer, because they truly believe that you could be in danger of going to hell.

After all, they just care... (;

Why do you believe in Alexander the Great--when the only written account of his life that we have is dated 500 years after his death--and yet you don't believe in Christ--when we have a written account of His life dated 40 years after his crucifixion?

EDIT: By the way, this is a most unoriginal question. Not only has it been asked in this forum plenty of times, the "one god further" phrase was coined by your arrogant atheist hero, Richard Dawkins.

I believe you should of quoted richard dawkins for "
Remember that christians are atheists of most gods too..... i just go one god further." although that might not be word for word. I would have to look and see.

You forgot The Purple Unicorn

Everyone, is one way or another made to believe that his or her religion is the true religion, ask a Muslim if you doubt me, why a Muslim you'll ask? Because they are the only ones commanded by Allah to convert the world to Islam or annihilate it in the process. That is unfortunately a calamity we have to still live with for a long time.

I asked my version of this question a couple of weeks ago (see link).

I got a few chuckles from some responders, but most of the others missed my point completely. So I gave up and put the question up for voting. I hope your question gets better results.

I think that with the ways that society trains us to be we come to believe ourselves what is real or not. It may not be that we may not believe but we can't comprehend anothers beliefs and values because of our upbringing. Sometimes we can't even believe because we just don't know.

Nicely put, but I don't think it'll change any ideological minds :)

Oh, and JoeCool -- every single one of those "other gods" had moral codes and promises of a paradise in the afterlife for faithful followers. In fact, the vast majority of judeo-christian moral codes and ideas of heaven were borrowed from those of "other gods," ideas that existed many thousands of years before either of those religions existed. You should read some history :)
