Theres a guy that I might like. I dont really know him but from what I hear him say in the halls and stuff i kinda do. i wanna get to know him but you cant just go up to a person you dont know and start talking... but if i did, what could i say?!

why couldn't you? you can go up to him.. you could say heyy my name is ____ maybe we should hang out sometime.. or if you are too shy try to get his phone number screen name, e-mail off of him or someone else because then it isn't as scary if you are shy.. but whats the worst he will do to you..? you never know maybe he likes you but is to shy to approach you <3

Halls of what, school, work? Maybe if you could approach him in a lunch room or common area, you could just comment how busy you are in the art dept (or science class) and ask him how things are in accounting (or whatever).... and let the conversation flow from there.

It's so cliché, that most people will realize that it means "i'd like to start a conversation with you, stranger".
There is one time that it's failed to illicit a response in the last 4 years. Later i found out that the girl was deaf.

Jk. Just politely introduce yourself and then ask him about something you've noticed about him. If the ball doesn't start rolling from there. Then just say thats cool, I've always wondered and thought I'd ask and walk away.

Drop something in front of him like a notebook then start from there say thanks I'v seen you around whats your name with a smile and say yours but walk away still looking at him smiling of course.Worked on me!

First you have to give him the "eye contact" & if he responds back, than the next thing to do is say "hello",hi or whats up....
