My Stimpy prefers FanceyFeast & DeliCat. She gets FF in the morning and DC 24/7 so she always has something to eat. At Homeland 12 cans packs are 7.25. At K-Mart 24 cans is 10.75. Look around your local stores to get the best for your baby. When on sale she gets FanceyFeast Gourmet Gold. Don't be CHEAP, be frugal....Merry Christmas

If you look at the feeding requirement for a quality food you will see you will feed you cat less food. So even if you buy a 20 bag of food for 10 dollars and premium 10 bag for food for 25.00. You will notice per feeding it's only cost pennies more per serving. That quality food will out last the bigger bag on grocery store brand food. In the long run it will save you money. Health wise. You feed you cat less you wont have to use alot litter or clean it that often.
Would you rather think you are saving money now than buying the cheap food and spending 1500.00 on vet bill later, know by feeding quality food you could of prevented it. Ask your vet!

I'm not sure as the price tags on quality pet foods never got me looking in the other direction. Research high quality food and consider "cheap" to be the one that costs the least. Don't cheap out on some no name brand cat food.

if it is for an indoor cat, i would advise not buying the cheap stuff. however, if you're feeding the neighborhood cats, probably the cheap stuff is fine, since they are probably eating at every house on the block. try the dollar store or a large discount store like walmart. even the grocery store has large bags for cheap, or a small box for next to nothing!

Wal-mart's Maxximum Nutrition brand is pretty cheap and it's very good for your cat. It's comparable to Iams and other high end cat foods, but about half the price.

Dollar Stores usually sell cat food at a discounted price. Wal-mart and Target are also very resonable!

I get an 18 lb. bad of Purina Cat Chow from Wal Mart of $9.82. It's not a bad price and all 8 of my cats love it. Whatever you get make sure your cat likes it. It's not worth the extra dollar or two if your cat is being forced to eat something nasty. Not if you love or even like your pet.

If you can't afford good cat food for your cat, then you can't afford to have him.

And to clarify, Iams is not good food as imdepend said. It's garbage from a company that conducts cruel animal tests.

But, to directly answer your question, petsmart, the grocery store, and numerous other outlets have whats labeled as 'cat food'.

Cheap cat food will eventually translate into expensive vet bills. I would not advise it.
