I am a practicing witch and I was wondering what others of you will be doing to celebrate Yule tomorrow? Lighting a Yule log? Or will you encorporate Yule into the more traditional Xmas day to make things easier for X-tians in your family? Do people, not just Pagans, separate the 2 days (21st = Yule, 25th = Xmas day)?

However you celebrate it, Happy Holidays!

Well, I happen to have a grandson whose birthday is on the Solstice, so we'll be celebrating the return of the sun, and his birthday all at the same time. We live in an apartment, so we can't "light the Yule log" but we'll burn candles on the yule log and celebrate that way. We'll sing some Yule carols, and enjoy being a family and give thanks to the Goddess for our blessings.

Happy Yule to you and yours as well and many blessings to you on your path!

I wish I could celebrate it properly this year with lighting the Yule Log but I think Public Safety on my college might have other word about that when I accidentily burn down my dorm. I am celebrating the feast though and a few other Wiccans that I found on campus are celebrating with me. So it will be a good Yule for me.

Blessed Yule Sister!

I'm not really a practicing anything, but I like to stay up late on the long night and make hot cocoa the hard way, turn out all the lights except the tree and listen to classical Christmas music. I did send out home made Yule cards this year and I'm waiting for the reaction of some of my more conservative friends. I figure that any reason to celebrate with family is a good one.

I will be ringing a bell and singing Christmas carols for the Salvation Army. No, I'm really not very happy about this, but I've started a new community arts and works organization with a very close friend who was raised Catholic, and she REALLY wanted to partner with the Salvation Army this year and sing carols, perform skits, read poems, etc., and the day they had for us just happened to be Yule.

So I'll be celebrating Yule by standing outside a mall ringing a bell to raise money for the poor. But, I think that's appropriate anyway, since I live in an apartment building and can't leave a tray of bread, milk, cake and clothing outside for any person or animal that needs it, and I will be enjoying myself with friends.

I had planned to celebrate Friday, the actual Solstice, with my boyfriend and make him a grand feast of roast pork, German stollen and walnut stuffing (I think it was walnut), but I'm in a film that is running behind schedule and we have to shoot Friday night. So I'll be pounding on a door and screaming obscenities at an actress who won't even be there (she's flying back to L.A. tonight).

Not my ideal Yule, but I am severely outnumbered by Christians in my family and my boyfriend's family, so I'll be doing a lot of celebrating all weekend.

Blessed Yule to you!

If it doesn't rain, I've offered the wide field adjacent to my house to the Neopagans in our Unitarian Universalist fellowship for a bonfire. I'll be tending the fire and enjoying the celebration as an admiring outsider.

May you and yours have a most Blessed Yule. And to all others, Happy Holidays!

I'm going to make some wassail and get extremely hammered and do my Yule ceremony out in a nice wooded area near my house, I'm not using a Yule log this year, but I plan to re-write some traditional christian carols to praise pagan sun gods and sing them outside of my christian neighbors' houses just to piss them off. Merry Solstice.

I'm starting my celebrations today - and we'll celebrate until the 31st. Usually we watch our favorite holiday movies, drink cider, light the trees. I'd love to do a Yule log, but unfortunately our fire place is gas and it isn't working at the moment. Friday night we'll have our solstice rite. I also celebrate Christmas with my parents, siblings and their families. We attend numerous parties. I deliver cookie and cake platters to friends. And we end it with a New Years eve bash. We also open our gifts after the solstice rite.

Happy Holidays to you, too! :)

My family are all Christian and they wouldn't appreciate anything I set up. It's just easier not to cause conflict with them since I live with my grandmother. I'll celebrate on the 25th like everyone else.

I'm sick again. Second time in the past month and a half. So I'm going to probably be spending tomorrow sleeping.

Happy Holidays.
