hello...i'm 18, I broke up with my boyfriend a week ago, and i was really depressed over the past week, feeling sick and all. then lately i've come to realise, i don't really miss him, i just miss his lifestyle: it was crazy! his friends were so nice, always going out and doing funny or amusing things! i'm a really shy person and i felt so good in their company, i felt like 'revived', finally having lots of fun. all my friends are the shy type, or complicated, and my ex boyfriend's friends, they were just carefree...but now it's all over, there's no way i stay friends with his friends anyway! i'm feeling so sad and depressed...

You will make it through. Go to those fun exciting places and make your own new friends who have the lifestyle you love.

Its really hard to see things clearly when you are in the situation. I see a number of red flags here (though keeping her name is not a major problem & she DOESNT have to compensate you in any way). I think if you marry her she'll be forever cheating on you and intentionally 'out-shining' you. She'll not stand up for you and her family can walk all over you. Basically she will 'de-man' you and break your heart. Its not worth it. Never be so desperate and needy to this extent, find a woman who can respect you as much as you can respect her!

If you have a job then try meeting up with someone there that you find very outgoing. If you know one outgoing/fun person, you're bound to meet more through them! That might sound like using people, but it's not really, you want to have fun and fun friends are where to start!

Your 18,life goes on, theres so many amazing people your going to meet, and even though your not with the guy anymore his friends, will continue to still be your friends, it just may take some time to accept the break up, and him getting jelious over you wanting to still be friends with his friends. but honestly lifes short go out and meet new people.!!

Go out and find new friends.. co-workers... classmates. I should listen to my own advice. I know it hard, but it's a lesson learned. Now you need to open out of your shell and explore. I wish I was 18 again!
