For over 3 years, my fiance and I have been using the "pull out method" and I've never gotten pregnant. Could this mean there is something wrong with one of us?

not really. While it's not really a good method to avoid pregnancy its also not a good method to get pregnant either.

Yes, I think there's something wrong with both of you.
If you don't want a baby, you should be more responsible and use a more reliable method of birth control!

If you are asking whether one of you might have fertility problems, I'd say there's a chance that at least one of you is not highly fertile, or you'd probably be pregnant by now. But then again, maybe you're just lucky.

Since you don't want a baby right now anyway, I guess its a good thing.

If done properly, the old pullout method, while not very satisfying, can be pretty darned effective. we used it for about 3 years before we had an accident- turned out to be a wonderful accident.
So, no it doesn't mean anything is wrong fertility-wise.
After a while though, the guy might get sloppy or careless, or you will get to thinking you won't get pregnant and then waa-laa, sure can.

No the pull out method is a form of birth control. Why would you say there is something wrong with you, when if hes pulling out, you dont know if there is a problem with you. If you are trying to get pregnant, dont have him pull out and see.

I have used that method all of my life. I have two sons and a baby on the way in July. They were all planned. You should be happy that you haven't gotten pregnant. That has been the goal right?? If you are concerned, have your fiance tested for his sperm count.

no.. My husband and I used that method for 3 yrs after having my son, and when we decided to try again we got pregnant in 2 weeks with our daughter... So there's probably nothing wrong with either of you.. The method just works with some couples.. Merry Christmas

No. It means you're lucky.

The pull out meathod worked for us for 1.5 years. Its only as effective as condoms in reality, which by use are 86% effective. I think the pull out meathod is something like 83% effective at avoiding pregnancy.

Theres only a 15% of getting pregnant when you ovulate and have sex at the same time anyway.

Unless you're a stupid teenager. Then you'll get pregnant just because you sat in a puddle.

It is damn lucky because that method doesn't often work. We won't even talk about how unsatisfying it is..... So, because it is such a chancey method, there might be a problem. Only way to know is to see a doctor for a test.

Nope I hear it works for many people! I should have used it because now being on birth control it is taking a long time to get pregnant.
