The toxic dose for chocolate for a dog is one ounce per pound of body weight. It is much less for baking chocolate.
He just got a treat, he'll be fine.

No i don't think so, he is a very small dog and if it had been a lab or german shepherd it definatly would not be a big problem but since he is so small you should try to put some apple cider in his water to flush it out. If you licked a bit of windex you would not die but you might get a stomach ache or feel sick.If you think that he might be really sick take him to a vet, i don't think it will be a problem though after all it was only a lick=)

Having a muddle of domestic canines with green vendors isn't an extremely reliable thought. it won't kill the chihuahua or harm her if their extra or less an analogous length, yet please evaluate whether that's well worth it to make somewhat money or regardless of reason. I additionally think of they could desire to the two be spayed and you may desire to easily purchase domestic canines for a registered breeder. No offense, yet its people such as you who've domestic canines and sell the for like $50 and the those canines basically finally end up on the pound and no one needs them. Please do no longer provide help to canines to have domestic canines... Why could you prefer them to reproduce? Is it when you consider which you think of it's going to be lovable? in any case, a mini poodle and a chihuahua are distinctly lots an analogous, different than the coat. do exactly no longer do it!

As long as he just licked it, he should be okay. He may get a bit of a stomach ache. I would keep an eye on him. Give him some dog food and water. I've had dogs for years, and it takes quite a bit to make them sick.

He'll be fine - choclate has to be consumed in generous qualtities to be harmful to dogs - I have a friend who buys her poodle a box of Laura Secord French mint chocolates for christmas and he eats one a day - I don't recomend this - but the dog is fine! I have another friend whose 2 dogs (a dobermand and a lab) ate about 5 bags of hallowwen chocolate in one sitting - they both threw up and had dihareha but survived.

It's unlikely that one lick will have any effect. Dogs can differ on how much chocolate it takes to affect them but a lick would probably be completely harmless. just don't let him have the rest of the bar!

If all he did was lick, he'll be ok. If he ate a big piece of the bar, I'd call your vet and ask his/her advice. Milk chocolate isn't as harmful as dark chocolate.

He will be fine....but if you are worried about him, keep on eye on him for the next day or so. If you feel he is looking sick or acting oddly of course take him to the vet.
