Let me try to help. They are three and yet one. How well there is the father, son and Holy spirit as you said They are one in agreement or unity in purpose. I use to ask the same question . The father never disagree with the son nor the son with the father, The Holy spirit is here with us. Jesus said I must go to my father but I will leave you a comforter that comforter is the Holy spirit. When Jesus was here The father was in total control He sent his son. The three of them were together when the world was made. Remember God said let" US " make man.

It does to me, but then again I've always beleived that God the Father was a seperate individual than Jesus Christ, and that they are both seperate (physically) from the Holy Ghost. They are of one mind in that what one says or does is the exact same thing that the other would if He were there.
Can you tell I don't believe in the Catholic version of the Trinity?
I'm Mormon. We believe there are three members of the Godhead and that they are each seperate individuals. Two have a body of flesh and bones (God the Father and Jesus Christ) and the Holy Ghost does not have a body but is spirit.

Holy Trinity. God in three Persons. Means He exists in three personalities to better understand and communicate with us.
God the Creator, the Father of all. He was portrayed in the Old Testament as a God who loves us with conviction but He is a Just God and thus, punishes those who sin. But He became aware that this is not a right path to take thus, He gave us another path.
And this path, is Jesus, God's plan to save all mankind. Jesus came to us, as a human to better understand us. Nobody knew when Jesus' ministry begun. The Bible recalls Him in the Temple at a young age, and His next appearance was being baptized by John at the River Jordan. Jesus' life to Christians serves as a guide to try to be good and righteous (as He is). But no matter, how much good He tried to show us, we still sent Him to be crucified even without fault. And He accepted it. Because just like the Father, He loves us. Jesus the son loves us.
The Holy Spirit came in during the conception of Jesus. The Holy Spirit dwells in each of us. It is the love that connects us to the Father and Jesus.

nicely possibly no longer precisely yet i'm going to throw this obtainable. Trinitarians don't think that there is better than one God. they have faith that, "the daddy, Son, & Holy Spirit" are each and each totally God; yet, no longer that each and each is a god. the closest, yet no longer suitable, human analogy, that comprises ideas, is the solar: God the daddy is the solar, the rays that radiate from the solar is Jesus, and the warmth temperature we sense on us is the Holy Spirit. in spite of the reality that imperfect, the analogy can provide us a small glimmering in regards to the character of the divine, religious, being, who's "God." permit's take a seem at some verses that back up our doctrine of the Trinity. the daddy is obviously noted as God as considered in the process the Bible. no person will argue that factor. So there is one member of the Trinity, the daddy. Jesus the Son, is a separate person yet he's likewise noted as God. John a million:a million says, "interior the initiating replaced into the word, and the word replaced into with God, and the word replaced into God." Titus 2:thirteen says, "finding for the blessed wish and the performing of the admire of our super God and Savior, Christ Jesus." So right here we see of course, the Son is likewise noted as God. The Holy Spirit is likewise a separate person, and he's likewise noted as God. First, enable us to understand, the Holy Spirit isn't an impersonal rigidity. he's someone and has the traits of someone. He may be grieved (Eph. 4:30), He speaks (Acts thirteen:2), and He may be lied to (Act 5:3-4). In Acts 5:3-4 the Holy Spirit is noted as God, "yet Peter reported, 'Ananias, why has devil crammed your heart to deceive the Holy Spirit?...you haven't any longer lied to adult adult males, yet to God.'" So we see of course that there are 3 persons interior the Bible, and all 3 are noted as God.

The Trinity is like this to me: you have a mind, heart and spirit that make you up as a person. One Person.
They have different functions but ultimately the whole being is in charge. Jesus was offered to die for us so He was a sacrafice. After He rose again, He sent the Holy Spirit to continue to guide us. Because the Father is so Holy and we are so far from Him, He made a way for us to continue to know Him by giving of Himself. First through the Spirit, then Christ, and then Him. No other self made god has claimed to do so much for you.
Overall, He is the one God and He explained in a way that you are humbled just by trying to understand Him.. He said "I am that I am" Everlasting and almighty and very much in love with mankind.

The father is god and the knowledge of god is the son (jesus is said to be the word or wisdom) and the and the love from the two is the holy spirit. Think of it like the personality traits of god. You cant imagine it like 3 differnt people. They are the same like an apple has a core the fruit and the skin but its still an apple.

Jesus said that the "Father and I am one. " That is one pointer to answer your question. Certainly I believe that they are 3 seperate entities and like other christians, I believe they form one "Godhead", ie ONE God,
You have to remember that Jesus Christ on earth had a dual nature, human and divine. Sometimes he was referring to his human nature and was speaking as a man. The fact tnat he took on human nature and had to suffer death and go to the land of the dead, put him below the father, which he ALWAYS did when he was speaking of himself.
This is a spiritual topic which cannot be explained in human terms, which is why God gave us the gift of faith. The nearest we can get to it is to consider ourselve as like the Trinity. Each person is made up of 3 separate and distinct parts; body, spirit and intellect.
I hope this helps.

No. It doesn't. It just shows your finite mind can't comprehend the infinite.
The three "Persons" of the Trinity all share one ESSENCE; God.
They each fully possess the essence and attributes of God.
Robert, Harry, and Earl all share essentials of being Human. But they do not share all of the same aspects. If Robert, Harry, and Earl were identical triplets they might share MUCH. They might seem to be identical. They may share thoughts, and speak each other mind, etc. And yet that would NOT prove they all are the same guy.

It's really quite simple...it's not that there has to be 3 gods, it's just 1 god with a multiple personality disorder: the father, son and holy spook. By the way, when did it change from holy ghost to holy spirit? Maybe there are 4 personalities now....hmmm.

It does appear confusing, but it isn't. The word is a compound word :"Tri"+"Unity".
I've included two links below which explain the concept.
