I've had braces and you don't need to worry. As long ans you're not shoving the candycane into your bracket it wont be a problem. You should probably not eat caramel or anything that would be really sticky. I only hurt my bracket once and that was because a fork slammed into it.

I have braces too and the best way I know not to break a bracket is to break whatever you are eating into little pieces. Also, don't bite w/ your front teeth, always use your back ones

well. braces are alot tougher than you are giving them credit for...dont chew candy canes, or anything hard..use the guidelines that the ortho gave you when you first got them on and you'll do fine..unless of course your Christmas dinner includes broken glass and nails! And remember to have fun..you are going to have a wonderful smile when they come off!! Merry Merry!

my son breaks up the foods and places them in his mouth first.

be very careful. you don't want a piece of wire sticking into your cheeks on christmas day. no dentists will help you that day.

just do what the dentist wants, it won't kill ya!
you can enjoy cake, and candy. just don't have caramel and hard stuff biting straight into it yaknow?

SOrry you have braces. they stink!

just suck on the candy, do not bite it. As for hard cookies, dunk them in milk to soften them up!
