Do you know if "My First Leap Pad" is interchangable with "Leap Pad" and vice versa?

No, I have both and the cartridges are not interchangable.

Leapster and L-Max cartridgesare - they are the hand-held video games.

Nope unfortunately they aren't. I have had a My first leap pad for my son since he was 2 and now he's 4 and ready for the more advanced Leap pad (we got the "plus writing" one) but he still likes to play with the little one too.
