It depends on the color of your skin. If your fair, then you would want a lighter chestnut brown as stated earlier. If you have a darker complexion, then you could go with a honey blonde or a auburn color.

What about a red highlight - Blond is sometimes a bit too much when the natural hair is dark.

i have dark hair too, i like to try all sorts, but at the moment i have caramel through my hair with different tones of brown just to make it look a little natural but not boring! if thats not your thing, then you can always try reds and coppers or even blacks- but i think black is hard to grow out or colour over? anyway try what you like, then you will get an idea for next time! x

RED. But get lots of really small strands not big chunks as it might end up looking tacky but yes, a nice deep red looks great on dark hair x

Try a few different shades together, light gold, medium gold and copper, it will give your hair more texture or colours similar to this. Good luck.

I always get either caramel or golden blonde i don`t like red or bright blonde as i think they look nasty,just ask your colourist what she recommends.
