Kim- im sure your situation probably isnt easy, and i may sound harsh but please re-read this excerpt from your post:

"Because I chose to be a mother to my children and spend the time with them that they need? Or because I was out of work for a year when I was pregnant? Or because the job I have doesn't have benefits?"

You said it yourself. You "CHOSE" to be a mother. Unless you were raped you probably chose to be pregnant as well, and many pregnant women work so you chose to quit your job too. Are any of those my problems? Nope. So why should my tax money go to paying for your choices?

Why bother? With our unsecured border, they will just come back.

some people have forgotten the whole purpose why welfare was established in this country. it is they're for the family's in need. i work hard for my money, i pay my taxes to the same system other Americans pay into. and i for one do not mind helping a family that is hard hit until they are able to get back on their feet. how about the old people who are on a fixed income who can't afford human food, who are eating cat or dog food. we Americans need to be ashamed for thinking this way about the welfare system. the illegals have no right coming here and using their anchor baby's to live off are welfare system. as long as I'm helping an American family eat and have a roof over their heads so be it. i have a bad case of the flu right now, unable to work for a week now. that is nothing compared to someone who is unable to walk or has some kind of injury. and need to help from the system.

How is that gonna work exactly? The transporting will actually cost more than just maintaining the welfare.... plus mexico/us border is really easy to cross as we witness it everyday through the news.. (lol)

You do know that people on welfare include people who are not in a physical state to work or just too old or something. Although it is being abused and sucking up a lot of tax money, some people need it.

Mexico may be a 3rd country but we have no rights to dump stuff on there. Plus, they are providing us with cheap labor

No. Why would you want to do that? Check it.

I am a Southern American (from the South). I didn't know what welfare was growing up. I attended a four yr college for two years before I joined the US Army. I served active duty for 6 yrs, got out and ended up on welfare. Why should I be sent to Mexico? Because I chose to be a mother to my children and spend the time with them that they need? Or because I was out of work for a year when I was pregnant? Or because the job I have doesn't have benefits?

Hmm? Tell me why

Let's build the US/Mexico border fence, send the mexican people back to Mexico, where the real problems are, so they can prove that they can solve them themselves, instead of trying to get us to solve their problems for them. Mexico has many problems, Mexico has 110 million people, they can and should solve their own problems, the sooner they get started, the better. Illegal immigration is a crime, enforcement's the answer, accept no substitutes or sob stories...

If there not American then they have no right take American money. They need to go back before the National ID is given out.
