Something that's inspired you, maybe?
Mine is from Julius Caesar:

There is a tide in the affairs fo men
which taken at the flood,
leads on to fortune.

It's inspired me to grab some great opportunities. So what about you?

COMMITMENT

Until there is commitment, there is hesitancy, the chance to draw back, always ineffectiveness.

Concerning all acts of initiative and creation, there is one elementary truth, the ignorance of which kills countless plans: it is that the moment one commits oneself then Providence moves too.

All sorts of things occur to help one that would never otherwise have occurred. A whole stream of events issues forth from the decision, raising in one’s favour all manner of unforeseen incidents and meetings and material assistance, which no one would have dreamed could come their way.

Whatever you can do dream you can do, then begin it.
Boldness has genius, power and magic in it.

Begin it now.
(Goethe)

My favorite quote is one by the poet, Robert Frost. I first read the poem it came from about thirty years ago and it has inspired me throughout my life to be true to myself and to follow my own path.

"Two roads diverged in a wood, and I -
I took the one less traveled by,
and that has made all the difference."

"Be the change you want to see in the world." Mahatma Gandhi.

Just one example, I would always tell my best best friend to lose weight by exercising and stop eating junk. But I myself would eat junk food. This was when we were in college. It was during that time that my brother scolded me and mentioned this quote to me. Even though I was slim, I was putting all junk in my body. So then I stopped eating junk and joined a health club and my friend quietly followed me after a month and today she has a body to die for while I am OK looking.

There are so many, but here are two of my favorites:

This above all: to thine own self be true,
And it must follow, as the night the day,
Thou canst not then be false to any man.
Farewell; my blessing season this in thee!

-- William Shakespeare

And the one at this link is one that I have referred to all my life in times of trouble and difficulty and whenever I felt the need to rejuvenate.

Part of the poem 'If' by Rudyard Kipling

"If you can meet with Triumph and Disaster and treat those two imposters both the same."

This has helped in my political career because you can find that one minute you are in favour and can do no wrong and the next vilified and laughed at.

How true...I intend to grow old disgracefully! lol;
