Hi. Im 15 and ever since ive been four years old, If i'm in a hot shower and let the water run on the back of my neck I get a very strange feeling that rushes through my body and I start hearing voices that are singing. No specific words just diferent tones. My hypothesis was that the blood vessels leading to my brain were dialated thus heightening my basic sences I.E. hearing. But now I get the feeling when out of the shower and very faint singing. And the voices occur much easier in the shower now (just having hot water on my head) I've always wondered what this is and why it happens. Some clues may be I have low blood pressure maybe? Any hypothesis or similar stories would be appreciated.

This could indeed very well be blood-vessel related. Nothing to be alarmed about, just something that happens. When I get really tired after an all-nighter working in my model shop or on a CAD programme, as I do, and if I sit in the same room as a fan heater or an air conditioner, I start hearing Arabic chants. They are often so beautiful that I wish I could record them, but they are obviously just inside my head. I assume it has to do with blood vessels in my ears doing tired things.

Do you find the experience pleasant? Frightening? Just interesting? If it isn't alarming to you, and doesn't have any lasting effects, maybe you can just accept and enjoy it. Are you a musician? Maybe you can use the shower singing as a basis for your own compositions.

possibly , but it might be you subconciously thinking about a certain to and white noise (water running) helps you fogus easier , concluding why its easier to hear in the shower
