Millan also is the subject of two lawsuits.
One was filed by 8 Simple Rules producer Flody Suarez, who said his Lab was hurt after being put on a treadmill at Millan's center. The lawsuit claims breach of contract, fraud, animal cruelty and intentional infliction of emotional distress, among other allegations. It seeks more than $25,000 in damages. "I don't know the person," Millan says. "It's not a very nice lawsuit. I didn't touch the dog. The dog was at my center."
The other suit is from former publicist Makeda Smith and her partner, Foster Corder, who have sued Millan and other defendants, including the National Geographic Channel, claiming that Smith originally conceived the name "Dog Whisperer" for Millan.
Says Millan: "I believe in integrity. Dogs have it. Humans are sometimes lacking it."

Anyone who is being sued for animal cruelty should not be blindly trusted. The man is scum and promotes animal abuse and poor breeding. Several major animal welfare groups have spoken out about his abusive tactics and the bad ideas that he puts into people's heads.
Instead of focusing on such an immoral person, try looking on yourself. From what I've seen of the show, 99% of the issues are owner issues, not pet issues. Be smart and get in your dog's head and you can work this out on your own. Choke collars, smacking dogs, and 'rolling' them are not the answers.

I am a dog whisperer too. I whisper in the dogs ear, "I am going to punch you in the nose", they listen real well after that.
