Smoking constricts your blood vessels, and therefore it limits the flow of oxygen to your brain and other organs. It also adds toxins to your bloodstream (nicotine, other chemicals). So in combination with alcohol, which is another chemical, it really messes with the normal functioning of your circulation, your nervous system, and all sorts of things. It's no wonder you feel more drunk and have a hangover. You're depriving your body of the good stuff, and replacing it with poisons..

If your weird, than I am def weird as well. I have the same problem. Its sort of a relief that I can't smoke in New jersey and New York clubs .Mainly because I feel so much better, while NOt smoking and I def feel LESS drunk. Its weird. I have NO idea why. I'd assume because of all the deadly chemicals counteract the affect. making you feel wayyyyyy more drunk, than you would had you NOT smoked at all while drinking.

I am not sure if there is any fact to back this up or not, but I agree. It seems like when I drink and smoke it intensifies my buzz and I wake up the next morning with a horrible headache.

Because Tobacco and Alcohol is a deadly combination. It is better to try to avoid using either one or both, for your health. There are some very interesting non alcoholic beverages on the market, and to replace tobacco it is best to breathe some fresh air. That will be a great help for your hangover, there simply will not be one.You will be much less weird as well
Merry Christmas

The reason you get drunk is a lack of oxygen flow to your brain. Smoking also decreases the flow of oxygen. So yes you do get more drunk when you smoke.

It's becuse of the nicotine in the cigs. The combo of alcohol and drugs (Nicotine) gives you that really high/drunk feel. In the end this can add to your hangover.

No, but acohol can lessen the effects of nicotine, and cause you to smoke more than usual. The added intake of cigarette smoke can cause you to have a headache on top of the acohol induced hangover.
