because they are insecure with themselves. i was thinking about this a few days ago actually. I figured out why some women are be-ochs: they developed a little earlier than others and gave out when they were 12. Then they were considered sluts by age 14. They then realized that they were crap and now they cant even look in the mirror out of embarrassment. They know that by age 19 they will be a worn out alcoholic whore with 5 kids, not having any idea who the father of any of them are. So they cover up their true insecurity by taking out their frustration on ppl like you who dont deserve to be treated that way. my advice is to ignore them. you wont see them after graduation and you know that you can make something out of your life after high school while they are working 3 crappy jobs trying to support a dysfunctional family.

First, I will answer your question. It's called self-esteem. These people act like they're attractive and cool because they see themselves that way. They have a high self-esteem.
Second, your grammar and spelling are horrible! Please stop seeing school as a social event and see it as what it really is. School is meant to be a place of learning and opportunity. Tomorrow, please go to school and pay attention to your English teacher.
Finally, the correct version of your question:
Why do people think that they're all that when they're not?
The people at my school think that they are all that and i tell them not to act like that and they are not all that.
^That's just one version of propper grammar that you could have used to state your ideas. PLEASE don't waste your brain. USE IT!

...first off.. whats with the grammar? maybe you need to focus more on school and less on the people in it.
...secondly.. alot of people confuse "confidence" with "cocky". They try to hide their insecurities with a cocky "im the greatest" attitude.. but it just comes off snotty and conceided.

Actually, they are usually very insecure deep down, and act cocky so that others won't know it.
