I am trying to develop a macro that will automatically move lines of data to another worksheet depending on a value in a cell. For example, i am trying to take a list of open quotes and move the expired quotes to a certain worksheet and the quoted quotes to a third worksheet and so on. How can i do this or where can i find information on it?

The Quote would be deemed open/closed through a cell disclaiming "open" or "closed". Then i want the closed quotes to move and the open ones to remain where they are.

1. Open Microsoft Excel

2. Click on 'Help' on the menu, then
click 'Microsoft Excel Help'

3. Type "record macro", then
click 'Search'

4. You will get a list of help topics, including "Record a macro". Click on that one, which will give you an excellent explanation.

Note: Later you will need to play the macro, so do a similar search in 'Help'; this time type in "run macro".

The question is too difficult to answer here, i'm afraid.
However, if you are anything like me, then u will find that your life will be made a lot easier by learning a little about vba.
It helps a lot!
I learnt what little I do know from "Excel VBA for dummies" book. Nice and simple.
