People act with violent opposition to that which would be too horrible (from their viewpoint) to accept.

You get the same reaction from religious people when you question the existence of god.

No matter how much you deny the laws of physics, they will always tell the truth.

Because the conspiracy theories are just theories-despite many of you stating them as proven fact. Making a false statement with the intent to represent it as fact is lying. Period. And most of this rubbish is simply anti-Bush propaganda.

I don't recall ever hearing anyone say "this is only a theory but what if it's true?" All of the theorists I've heard all state it as if it were gospel, but the "evidence" offered is as thin as Calista Flockhart on a hunger strike, and a stretch at best. And some of the theories are so outlandish, they're just downright laughable. They sound like a bad Saturday Night Live sketch. And you expect us all to buy this stuff? I think the tinfoil hats have a hole in them and the gamma rays are seeping into your brain.

If you want to convince me the 9/11 attack was an inside job, you have to do alot better than that.

What lies would that be. The people who jumped from the building so they weren't burned. The police and fire officials who went to help the people who died. The planes that hit the buildings. Which one of these facts are a lie. We can debate Bush is wrong for being in Iraq, we can debate American tactics in the war was wrong. We can argue that the occupation of Iraq is wrong. But, my friend, we can't argue that the skyline of New York is different and over 3000 Americans died. Never has there been an attack on American soil like this. What were we (America) supposed to do? Let the debate begin.

Makes no sense engaging in a conversation covering a subject that started a war when: the facts that permit a conspiracy theory are based on one or two manipulated truths.

Here's one: "Because identification of an airliner on a parking lot camera was difficult to capture 100%, it is claimed to be a missile"! The truth: 400 plus human beings, at the event, saw a large passenger jet crash into the pentagon!

All the conspiracy theories have some twisted truth in them or, you simply believe someone like Charlie Sheen, who said the twin towers looked like an implosion! As for the so called professors... All Ward Churchill's!

because there is not enough evidence to prove that the attacks of 9 11 were a conspiracy by the bush administration. perhaps the one that could be the closest to a real argument, is the theory about the pentagon attack being caused by a bomb or something else than an airplane, the security camera from the parking lot makes it unclear and photos and video footage of the aftermath dont show any airplane parts.

ne ways even if it was caused by a bomb (which is what i think happened , thats just my opinion) it still doesnt prove that it was an inside job.

Which lies are they questioning?

Are they saying that the US government actually conducted the attacks? Then the person is a complete, blithering idiot, and no amount of discussion is going to alter their utterly ridiculous ranting.

Are they saying that the conspiracy theory blitherers are out of their minds? Now I can discuss the topic rationally, with some semblance of logical thought.

So, which side are you on?

It is like saying the Holocaust was pulled off by the Jews themselves. Anybody that believes the US government, Bush, Clinton, or the CIA deliberately caused 9/11 is the equivalent of a Holocaust denier and stupid. Stupidity is ignorance in the face of fact.

There is a large market for conspirationalists and most logical thinking people realize it is about the buck not the truth. Most logical people realize a consipracy requires some group of people to conspire and most people realize the impossibility - statistically infinitesimal chance such conspiracies could ever be kept secret given everyone who would have to participate in it. So it boils downt to a frustration some people have with the conspiracy believers - so easliy sucked into the money pit where a lot of P.T. Barnums are hawking for your change. People who get upset with conspirationalists should look at it from a different perspective. The book and film hawkers are excellent entrepreneurs and deserve a chance to prosper like any good entertainer. God Bless them. They are just good capitalists, Making a buck. Barnum lives!! (Alas, there is a downside when entire uneducated nations are sucked into these endless pits of refuted logic and world politics are swayed by it).

There is absolutely nothing to converse about because
9/11/01 was NOT a inside job. It was done by Radical
Islamic terrorists who are part of the AlQaida terror network who want to kill all Americans and destroy Israel
and all Western Civillization. That is NOT a lie.

well, as long as the conversation is kept civil and open-minded, as opposed to conspiracy theory rhetorc, there should be no need to attack. many lies about 9/11 are actually perpetuated by those who attack the current administration for the course of actions thus far. For instance....saddam had many ties to al-qaeda terrorists, including ties as well to Osama bin Laden..documented proof if you actually search for it, through news source archives. Iraq was also attacked for public heralding of 9/11 terrorists and anti-U.S. rhetoric aimed at inciting violence against US interests, while not well noted talking point, since they condensed them from 100's of points to just a couple. Also, invasion took place as U.S. finally made most of opportunity to fulfill its promise to multiple iraqi tribal/sectarian leaders from gulf war 1, never mind the flaunting of disregard for UN sanctions imposed upon the country at that time. As for the lies concerning weapons of mass destruction....the loudest of politicians condemning it as a reason were the loudest confirmers of Iraqs WMD programs...also recorded on camera and audio, as well as in the halls of congress (can be found in session minutes).
