Unless you are considered obese, then no, it is not healthy to lose that much in that short of a time. It can be done if you're not obese, but you are endangering your health.

Hey - Why lose such, unles obese, IF U DO drink plenty of fluid. IMO That's the main thing 2 avoid dying from extreme ( as that )! Some peeps feel it's easy 2 lose if 1 is obese. It's hard 2 lose wt! If body doesn't get enuf energ, it responds by slowing & makes it harder 2 lose. 1 may faint, so 2 lose 1 must burn more thru exer-size ( yuk-yuk, cise). Eat/ drink nutrients 2 stay helthy & do not get sik!

A few years back a guy got lost in the woods of northern Minnesota with nothing but an axe and the clothes on his back. When they found him (alive) nine days later he had lost forty pounds, so yes, it is possible. He was an older gentleman who relied on his Army survival training to keep himself alive.
Now you just have to get lost in the woods and live off the land for a few days, the pounds will melt away.

I've managed 15-17 in seven days a couple of times. Not sure whether 20 is possible. That would be extremely unhealthy in any case.

I lost 10 pounds in 5 days by not eating. But i was sick that 5 days and could not eat anything. If you get yr tonsils taken out you will loose at least 10 pounds. But it is a very very very long and painful surgery!!!

I've lost 5 kilos in my first week. It's my 10th day and I have included salad with some protein (eg. egg/ lean chicken) as you suggested. After 4 years of trying, the fat is finally coming off. It truly feels like magic!
Get started today!

LOL @ Kevin B
You can starve yourself, which is extremely unhealthy, and loose a lot. Doubtfully 20 though. In the process you can mess up your metabolism and gain most of it back after you take one bite. 1-2 lbs per week, that's how to do it...
