What do I do? I am a sophmore and really struggling in college right now and this past semester my grade point average has dropped to a 1.67 and am now on academic probation. Do I still have a chance of getting into the nursing program if I try to get my grades up? Is there a chance I can get them up to get in the nursing program the end of my junior year?

I think you can still get your grades up if you work real hard. Right now, you need to just relax and get some rest. When school starts next semester try to be more organized and make sure you get all of you work done. You might consider hiring a tutor if you are really struggling. Don't worry too much. Lots of people have spent a semester on academic probation and gone on to graduate, me included.

First, it seems you need to get organized, time and school work.

Second, you need to take a break and really look at what your doing, why you're doing it the way you are and how you can change things for the better.

Try writing down what your weaknesses are be brutally honest with yourself as in the long run, this will end up being your strongest attribute.

You should do something about the stressing thing, because you are not going to make anything.... Stress is just bad for anything. You should then get some help for your grades. Ask for help from people around you. Your friend, or a teacher.....

Good luck

you can always get back on your feet if you really try to... i messed up also and it was b/c of beer and drugs and i realized what i was doing so i scaled the partying down a bit and put my work first and graduated in 4 years with flying colors...you can totally do it, just like it says in the Bible, you can only have 1 master, good or evil, if you choose the good, you will definitely succeed, trust me, trust HIM!!

First I would speak to the schools adviser. See what they say you need to do to get in the program. What ever they say; do it.

Think about why your grades are slipping. I doubt it's because you're dumb, so it must be something else. Eliminate whatever that something else is.
