Ye olde English tradition.
We have this great desire that can not be satisfied by drink alone we like to queue or wait for ages for a table to get our kebab or curry & while the time away talking gibberish to who is ever next to you. [ Males pick a fight with who ever is next to you]
We then eat the stuff knowing we are going to regret it the next morning.
Then we come home, some pepole are then talking to god on the great white phone all night [ never tastes the same when it comes up]
Then the next day you suffer from the burning ring of fire.
It is our saxon/viking heritage that makes us do this, they were always drinking, eating & fighting as well.
We never learn

LOL you must be from the UK or somethin' because not too many Americans talk of hitting the curry after the bar. I work with a British guy who speaks fondly of this all the time, and I do like Indian food. However, I think a lof of us Americans prefer to hit a greasy spoon like Ram's Horn after the bar to eat large quantities of omelettes, breakfast food, or big greasy things. Or, we hit the Taco Bell or White Castle drive thru if we have less money!

And, I don't know why...we're just hungry. Somehow a salad just won't cut it at 2:30 a.m.!!!

serious answer : to replace the lost nutritional and not so nutritional substances in our body after we've been drinking, it's the same for chips (fries to americans) and kebabs. There is an actual scientific answer as to why we need to replace the carbohydrates in our body but I can't remember exactly what it is!

silly answer : because curries and kebabs taste better when we've been drinking! Ever had one sober? ;)

because our blood sugar becomes low, which is caused by dehydration through drinking dirty beer and our body's way of telling us this is by giving us the munchies.
