I don't want to just study the broad field of forensics. I wanna study something like blood splatter analysis or something. Anyone know of anything else I can look into???

You could specialize in DNA, crime scene analysis, forensic anthropology, forensic psychology, forensic art, ballistics, blood stain analysis, bite marks, fingerprints, and toxicology to name just a few. There are numerous others.

HI... I also am interested in studying forensics. I knew as an undergrad thats what I wanted to do. I majored in Biochemistry since alot of Forensic programs emphasize a strong background in the sciences. There are many options for you. There are alot of colleges and universities offering Forensic Science Masters programs. Drexel university in philadelphia offers a two track program one emphasizing in laboratory forensics such as DNA analysis and toxicology, and another track in Criminalistics, which focuses on ballistics, tire track analysis, and blood spatter analysis ect., I know Michigan has an undergrad program if that's more what your looking for. And also alot of 2-year and 4 year colleges are now offering Forensic Certificates and associates degrees...MY advice is focus in the sciences, biology, chemistry, and maybe minor in criminal justice. That way if you apply to grad school in one of these forensic programs youll have adeqate education and experience that will look good on your future resumes. Hope that helped. and GOOD luck.~Jenn

To go into CSI for the police or FBI, you would need to take some classes. I've asked this question on how to be a CSI. See the links below for the answers:
