For someone to love you very much or for you to be in love with someone?

I guess what's the point of being in love with someone if they don't love you back...sounds painful. Alternatively, being loved by someone can make you feel really good.

Well, that's a really hard question...

Everyone hopes to find an "other" that will help fill all the gaps in life. You know, complete them. But then I think of the lessons my Mom has always taught, that we can only ever hope to partner a man well. We have to first be complete in ourselves, then share that whole self with another person....I haven't managed to complete myself yet, but I'm pretty sure that I'm most of the way there. I feel comfortable in my own skin, and don't NEED anyone else to complete me. But having someone to share with would be good too.

To be in love with someone is always exciting. How you may have just hung up the phone from talking with him, but you can't wait to hear his voice again. How you relive (for weeks sometimes) the EXACT FEELING you had during that last incredible orgasm, and wonder if you'll ever be able to feel that much again. When you'd happily spend hours just gazing into his eyes and listening to him talk. Or you find incredibly dumb things adorable, like the way he blushes when he farts in your presence.

Okay, I guess I've just answered for myself. It is much nicer to be in love with someone, because it's all about the other person. You don't have to worry about living up to HIS expectations (and failing).

That's a hard decision. On one hand if someone were to love me I would always be comforted by the thought that I would always have someone to fall back on.
But on the other hand if i were to love someone i would always have a happy buzz in the back of my mind.
For someone to be in love with you you will always have the choice and the opportunity to fall in love with them, but if you were to be in love with someone they may not ever be in love with you.
I'm going to have to say that I would rather have someone be in love with me because then it will be a happy relationship if I am in love with them.

For you to be in love with someone. You are taking advantage/using the other person if you don't love them back. And when you are in love, that is a great thing.
