Yes. I wish MY priest had told me that when I was 20 instead of me having to wait 20 more years to figure it out for myself!

Can he? Sure - he's human and (assuming this happened in the USA) he enjoys freedom of speech.
SHOULD he have said that? Without knowing the context and tone of his voice, I can't say for sure but it isn't exactly the best way for a priest to conduct himself.

He "can" say what ever he wants, whether its appropriate or not is a different story. Look at what he said, look at your life. Are there things you can or should change? Well make changes in your life as well as you can. If you are happy with the way you are, ignore him.

Yes..as he has received divine inspiration from the Lord, he is entitled to do that. Also, send money to televangelists, for the same reason.
And if your priest is telling you that, maybe you should listen, cause obviously you need one.

Of course he can. If the church can back child molesters, do you think trhey really care about the congregation? Like everything else, quality clergy are becoming few and far between.

Well if he is a priest, he probably HAS a life. think about it, crashing xmas parties, getting tanked up, getting it on with the youngest parishoners....
maybe you should take your example from him???
