No, he wanted us to worship his father as he did.
Luke 4:8 "In reply Jesus said to him: "It is written, It is to Jehovah your God , you must worship, and it is to him alone you must render sacred service."
Mark 12:29-31"Jesus answered: "The first is, Hear Oh Israel, Jehovah our God is one Jehovah, and you must love Jehovah your God with your whole heart, and with your whole soul and with your whole mind and with your whole strength. The second is this, You must love your neighbor as yourself. There is no other commandment greater than these."

He's the only protaganist depicted in the BIBLE who never refused worship. Peter refused to let Cornelius bow to him, saying he, too, was just a man. The angels in heaven refused to let John bow before them, saying, "I am your fellow servant. Worship God."
Also, see John 4.23. "But the hour is coming, and is now here, when the true worshipers will worship the Father in spirit and truth, for the Father is seeking such people to worship him."
Jesus didn't come to be served, but to serve and lead by example. Now, the Father has exalted Him above all others. Our only response can be worship.

John 8:18 I am one that bear witness of myself, and the Father that sent me beareth witness of me.
John 10:30 I and my Father are one.
Jesus came in the flesh as man to teach us the word of God and show us that His Father God was Almighty and the only one God for us to worship. While He was on earth, He was the messanger /teacher of God's word.
But God the Father, and God the son are twp parts of the Trinity, and the third being the Holy Ghost.
Deuteronomy 6:4 Hear, O Israel: The LORD our God is one LORD:
They are all one in the same.

When Jesus was being tempted by Satan, Jesus' reply was
"Then saith Jesus unto him, Get thee hence, Satan: for it is written, Thou shalt worship the Lord thy God, and him only shalt thou serve."
Matthew 4: 10
Also see the following, also spoken by Christ:
"But the hour cometh, and now is, when the true worshippers shall worship the Father in spirit and in truth: for the Father seeketh such to worship him. God is a Spirit: and they that worship him must worship him in spirit and in truth.

No, you have to take the words of the bible out of context to try to prove Jesus is God.
Rev 1: 6 and he made us to be a kingdom, priests to his God and Father—yes, to him be the glory and the might forever. Amen.
Shows that John did not believe Jesus was God, This confirms the understanding of John 1:1,
When John wrote that Jesus was with God.and that creation was through Jesus, not 'by' Jesus. at John 1:3.
Rev 1:8, is God Almighty speaking not Jesus,
Jesus doesn't say anything until verse 17.
Rev 1:1 A revelation by Jesus Christ, which God gave him, to show his slaves the things that must shortly take place. And he sent forth his angel and presented [it] in signs through him to his slave John,
God gave to Jesus, Jesus gave to the angel, the angel gave to John.
Jesus at Rev 3:12 “‘The one that conquers—I will make him a pillar in the temple of my God, and he will by no means go out [from it] anymore, and I will write upon him the name of my God and the name of the city of my God, the new Jerusalem which descends out of heaven from my God, and that new name of mine.
Since Jesus has and worships God, then Jesus can not be God Almighty at Rev 1:8.
If Jesus is God Almighty at Rev 1:8, then his God at Rev 3:12 is God the more Almighty?

The Greek word used for worship in the NT, literally means "to bow down"
This was a practice done as a sign of respect to rulers.
Jesus as the King of the Heavenly Kingdom, would and should have this respect.
In 1611 when worship started appearing in the bible, it also mean to bow down.
This is shown by such expressions as 'Your Worship' directed toward Kings in in 1611.
It didn't mean the king was to be worshipped, it was a title of respect for the office he held.
It wasn't until recent times that the word worship became to mean the emotional homage directed only to God.
So when people bowed down to Jesus, they were showing respect not worship as we know the word to mean today.

Jesus repeatedly taught that he was the son of God. You will find his truth throughout the New Testament. To give you one verse out of context is meaningless. In Revelation Jesus says I am the Alpha and the Omega. In other places Jesus say he and the father are one. In other places Jesus says before Abraham was I am. In John 1 we are taught He is the word and that the word was God. Read the Bible in it's entirety and you will see God's plan for us all and the reason for the atonement and who is worthy. It is the Gospel or Good News that christ came to us to die as an atonement for those who accept. The reason for the crucifiction taught in Mathew was blasphemy. God's plan for man can be found in the earliest of scripture the first book of Moses the creation the way are created in the image of God . It can be found in the garden what were the two tree's? Can you show me one instance in the Bible of a messenger of God or Prophet of God allowing himself to be worshiped? But many instances where they worshiped Jesus did he ever say do not worship me? Mat. 15: 22 And, behold, a woman of Canaan came out of the same coasts, and cried unto him, saying, Have mercy on me, O Lord, thou Son of David; my daughter is grievously vexed with a devil.
23 But he answered her not a word. And his disciples came and besought him, saying, Send her away; for she crieth after us.
24 But he answered and said, I am not sent but unto the lost sheep of the house of Israel.
25 Then came she and worshipped him, saying, Lord, help me.
26 But he answered and said, It is not meet to take the children’s bread, and to cast it to dogs.
27 And she said, Truth, Lord: yet the dogs eat of the crumbs which fall from their masters’ table.
28 Then Jesus answered and said unto her, O woman, great is thy faith: be it unto thee even as thou wilt. And her daughter was made whole from that very hour.

Matthew 6:5-6: "And when thou prayest, thou shalt not be as the hypocrites are: for they love to pray standing in the synagogues and in the corners of the streets, that they may be seen of men....when thou prayest, enter into thy closet and when thou has shut thy door, pray to thy Father which is in secret.
I Christians would only listen to Christ. I suppose there's a better chance of pigs getting wings.

There is also the Scripture at John.(14:28)" You heard that I said
to you,I am going away and I am coming [back] to you.If you loved
me,you would rejoice that I am going my way to the Father, because
the Father is GREATER than I AM."
