The price diffenrence is huge but I don't get which one is the better version for a college student. Any idea?

MS office 2003 student and teacher includes
1/ MS word
2/ MS Excel
3/ MS outlook
4/ powerpoint

MS office standard includes word, excel, outlook and powerpoint and costs you roughly $120 more than the student edition

The Student\Teacher Edition comes with Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, and Word. Access is not included.
It also comes with (3)three lisences so that you can install the program legally on (3)three different computers.

The regular version comes with Access.

The link below should help for what applications come in each Office suite. It is for Office 2007, but will be the same for Office 2003.

The student teacher edition doesn't include all of office, I made the mistake of buying it long ago. Do this. Go to www.download.com and download bitcomet and use that to find yourself a cracked (illegal) copy of office 2003. Or try a trial version from microsoft before you buy www.microsoft.com.
