Of course, Jesus laid down his life in sacrifice just once. (Heb. 9:28) However, he is actively serving as High Priest now. To help others to understand what that means. Are they experiencing stress, disappointment, suffering, or problems because of unkindness on the part of people around them? When Jesus was a human, he experienced all of these. He knows how we feel. Because of imperfection, do we feel the need for God’s mercy?
If we pray to God for forgiveness on the basis of Jesus’ sacrifice, Jesus acts as “a helper with the Father.” Compassionately, he “pleads for us.” On the basis of Jesus’ sacrifice and through his services as High Priest, we are able to approach Jehovah’s “throne of undeserved kindness” to receive help at the right time. (Heb. 4:15, 16) Though we are imperfect, the help that Jesus provides as High Priest enables us to serve God with a clean conscience.
Who is the King of God’s Kingdom? Jesus Christ. Jesus as King is greater than all human rulers and is called “the King of those who rule as kings and Lord of those who rule as lords.” (1 Timothy 6:15) He has the power to do far more good than any human ruler, even the best among them.
From where will God’s Kingdom rule? Well, where is Jesus? You will remember learning that he was put to death on a torture stake, and then he was resurrected. Shortly thereafter, he ascended to heaven. Hence, that is where God’s Kingdom is, in heaven. That is why the Bible calls it a “heavenly kingdom.” Although God’s Kingdom is in heaven, it will rule over the earth.

Absolutely - can you think of a better, eternal high priest to represent his followers? He is both, because he is omnipotent, - with Christ's coming, there no longer is the need for the Levite high priest lineage, which they had in the old testament. The priests would have to make yearly sacrifices for the people. Christ's coming and Christ's crucifixion on the cross was the one -time sacrifice for all sins for all people - Romans 5:8.

Well done. That is why we shouldn't have someone as a priest over us taking the place of Jesus. And we shouldn't call anyone on earth Father (besides our Dad) for the Father is one is in Heaven.
(Matthew 23:9) "And call no one your father on the earth, for One is your Father in Heaven."

It potential that each and each believer has the authority to attitude God at as quickly as in the process the mediation of Jesus. No formal priesthood is mandatory to attitude God. priests nonetheless have a place of serving or offering pastoral help to the community. They no longer can come between people and God yet do proceed to help the church with care and management. The greater unbiased word "minister" is now and back used to make this clearer. The word minister technically basically potential servant. think of approximately that next time you hear the word "minister" or "best minister" whilst utilized to government. through fact the early church taught that Jesus is our intense priest this broke the political, non secular and economic administration exercised via the priesthood of Jesus' day. it quite is a pity we now and back forget approximately this lesson. interior the earliest church the "priest" who administered the communion might exchange from time to time. there replaced into no Levitical priestly forged, in spite of the shown fact that it replaced into administered interior the community of religion, yet frequently via senior people of religion interior the community. I understand "bishops" have been those people in whose residing house the church met. lots of this prepare grew to grow to be greater formal as quickly as the Christian faith grew to grow to be mainstream below the Emperor Constantine. in the past that factor churches frequently met interior the properties of the greater rich church members (without the "white elephant" that some churches can grow to be).

Nope. I know he died a long time ago on some wood. The only High Preists I know of are the Pagans who have practiced for a very long time. Anyone else calling themself a priest is NOT!

Absolutely! Won't it be grand when, after the great day, he begins to apply the benefits of his ransom sacrifice as High Priest?
