When I was in 4th grade we did an experiment to see how much mold would grow on a piece of white bread... Let's just say by the end of the year that piece of bread looked like pumpernickel.......

Yes it will. Anything with moisture in it or on it can grow mold.

Mold can and will form on any sort of organic material that is capable of deterioration (rotting), due to the introduction of bacteria to the the organic matter.
