Uhhh... its the other way around. Egg yolk turns into chicks. The dna is stored in the egg white, and the yolk is what feeds the baby chick before it hatches. Regular eggs arn't fertilized, though, so they couldn't have turned into chicks. If you get an egg with a small red spot inside, that means it was fertilized at one point.
Look inside an egg some time- see the small white stringy thing attatching the yolk and the white? thats the very beginning of an unfertilized baby chick.

It's the other way around. An egg with a yolk instead of a chick is one that has only a mom and no dad. You have to have both in order for the chick to form.

Egg yolks turn in to chicks, not the other way around. Yolk is embryo, placenta, and sac..just like female human.
