Sounds to me like you are self-obsessed. Meaning that you think the world revolves around you. (I don't mean that disrespectfully - it is a legitimate disorder.) What you need to realize is that people don't think about you all the time. In most cases, others don't think about us at all - but we think they do. I've gone through the same thing - and when I finally put it into perspective, I realized that no one was thinking of me in that way. Look at it from your own perspective - how much time do you spend thinking about others - their faults and relationships? I would say, not that much. Well, its the same for others.

Write down some affirmations that oppose the thoughts. Try to relax and visually clear your brain from anything. Then read the affirmations many times. Eventually, you will believ in them, and hopefully your obsessive thoughts will go away. Also, try to reason with yourself - like pure logics. Prove yourself wrong with facts. People are just people, they will die one day, everyone will die, it is so inimportant what they think - they will never go around telling everyone and selling the story to the newspapers. They have enough of their own problems, and even if they think about you for a while - if you live in a really small town - they will soon forget.

If the antidepressant isn't helping, it may be the wrong one for you. Try another and have it monitored by a psychiatrist. Eventually, you will find the right medication.
Sometimes, you can't fight the thoughts. Acknowledge them, say Thank You, and move on to other thoughts and activities.

I know how you feel. I wish there was a magic pill that would make all of that go away, but there's not. I'm not going to give the textbook answer of "therapy and anti-depressants" either. You just have to deal with it. As tough as it may sound, and as lonley as it may be, it will make you stronger in the end. Do you have pets? They are an excellent way to keep your mind focused on something else besides the voices in your head. Just know that your not alone! We're here for you.

Try cognitive-behavioural therapy. There are techniques you can learn to cope with your thoughts/worries. For example, sometimes people suggest setting aside a "worry time" (like 10 minutes everyday). So, if you catch yourself worrying try and postpone it until your allocated worrytime, that way you can reduce the effect the worry has on you. Talk to your general physician about accessing CBT.

i have been like that before. Don't worry about what other people think and if you get closer to God and read bible and go to church then it will help you a lot because it help your spirit to grow. Without God's word that your spirit will be dead and have a lot of problem but when you are into God's word that problem get smaller and you will feel a lot better. It work for me.

Keep yourself busy. Many people have those kind of throughts. When you have those thoughts, either direct your mind away from them. If not possible, ask yourself what you are going to do about it. Think of definite actions.
