It really depends on what kind of sub. If it's a hot sub, or a big Italian deli sub with oil and vinegar, then toasted. But for a plain ol' ham and turkey, then not toasted.

hey,
im a girl and i perfer that the sub is not toasted.
i think the sub is too crunchy when toasted and it shrinks. i dont like it.

I like mine toasted for a few reasons.
The main one being that it will kill any bacteria from cold meat.
