No of course not darlin...
It is a good way to keep the babies head moist, and to work with cradle cap.
Just don't use to much to where people think there a slickster from the 50's... (wink wink)

I'm a mom of a 14 week old & when my hubby & I went to a newborn care class, we were told we can use any kind of gentle household body soap (without frangrance or drying agent) to wash our baby...stuff like Ivory or Dove. I was using Johnson's all over body wash & my baby was developing cradle cap My mother suggested using Ivory soap because it's pure soap & to wash my daughters head like this 3 times a week. I bathed her Saturday & in a matter of 24 hours, my daughters scalp improved. I bathed her again yesterday (Tuesday) and have seen marked improvement. I can see where I missed a spot because it doesn't look as good as the area I washed. Best of luck.

No!! If you are putting on for cradle cap oil works much better. Either way it should not cause her to get oily hair.

no, you are not. Oily hair is caused by hormones and doesn't usually show up until after puberty. It will actually help prevent flaky scalp.

Nope. Baby oil does not come from external source. Oil comes thru scalp naturally.
