Anyone have any thoguhts on celibeacy? I've been celibate by choice I might add for three months, and I must add, it gets hard sometimes..Does anyone here practice celebacy? And if so is it hard for you as well? Do anyone feel that celebacy is against nature since sex is part of human functionality?Post your thoughts

90 whole days- congrats. With STD's AIDS/HIV, herpes, warts, unwanted pregnancy, celibacy until marriage sounds like a good idea.

well, lets see I've been celibate for about 19 years haha so yeah I would know something about it. It is hard, but it's worth it. You don't get used, and you can tell if someone really cares about you because they'll wait for you. I don't think it's against nature. Sex was only intended for reproduction purposes, but how many people do you know who have sex have it for that reason. Not a whole lot that aren't married at least. So It's not against nature to be celibate.

It's celibacy, and I don't intentionally practice it...there are simply times when although I could be having sex, I don't choose to do so with the partner option(s) at the time and so I may be celibate for a number of months or so, until I meet someone with whom there is a mutual desire to have sex.

Is it against Nature? *shrugs* Humans are one of the few creatures on earth that have sex for fun, not just procreation...but it's certainly not something we are required to do.

People should do what they feel is best for them sexually...have it or not have it. It's a (very) personal choice.

What is your idea of celibacy?
The dictionary is abstention from sexual RELATIONS.
But relations means someone other than me.
Do you want re-define your question?
I'm celibate for 15+ years by my definition.
I really don't care. the women out there are the losers.
I do feel bad that I have no mate but I still enjoy my sports and outdoor activities. I am just hard to get and not by choice.
I had a date, just 3 months ago. She preferred to be a dominator.>argue and confront.> another loser. Christmas is near and the lodge has Prime rib on the menu, I'll be there!!

I have been celibate for over 7 years. Yes it is hard, especially during certain times of the month when my hormones fluctuate or I have a date with someone I am really attracted to, but when I think of all the risks involved even with use of birth control e.g. STDs, unplanned pregnancy, emotional drama, etc... I just remind myself that it is better to hold off until I meet someone that's really significant and my future husband.

In the meantime, I use excercise as a way of fighting off the temptation.

I made the same decision to be celibate. And yes there are times that it does get hard to maintain that decision. I just think that sex is something that should be shared with someone you really care about and just with any pair of pants walking around. I stand by my decision and I am not about to break up for the heat of the moment type of thing.

I am practicing celibacy. I am a Christian 19 year old female and I have made a pact with God that I am going to save myself for my future husband. I did this to respect myself, my future husband and most importantly God. I also wear a purity ring that says "TRUE LOVE WAITS" and I will give this to my future husband on our wedding night. It's hard sometimes, especially in today's society, but I feel the right man will wait for me, and if he doesn't want to wait for me, he isn't the guy God has intended for me.

:)

God bless! :)

It's a personal committment and devotion to any individual who so chooses this path. Doesn't cost a thing especially your life and is totally harmless, but anyone is entitled to their own freedom of sexual choice and no one should be persecuted for it. Enough said.

God created man and woman to be together and repopulate the earth. He gave each a body and mind to be attracted to each other. Marriage is the correct way to go to achieve this.
