its simple, but lengthy process
first you must have either microsoft outlook or outlook express
With out the above two you cant do the rest of my instructions
Both the software do the same procedure but now i use outlook express
click tools menu
select accounts sub menu
then click add button
Now asks three option
mail, newgroup ,...?
select mail
asks for name
give name - click next
give e-mail id - click next
be careful - important step
select pop3 from the first list box
then give
pop.mail.yahoo.com for incoming mail
and smtp.mail.yahoo.com for outgoing mail - click next
give your yahoo id as account name
and yahoo password as password
click remember password
then click finish
And thats it you have now setuped your outlook to receive and send mail from it
But still some more to go
Click tools menu and choose accounts
select Mail tab sheet
Now you can see an account there
select it and click properties
select servers tab
There under outgoing mail server, select the check box
and under general tab
In the first textbox type the name how the account to be appear
ex: my mail, my yahoo mail, work mail, etc..
Under user information
give your name
and click ok
Here after use outlook to send and receive mail

Please tell us what kind of email program you are using (outlook, outlook express, eudora, mac mail?), because it varies widely from program to program.
