This is a tough question. Legally it is fine. If you were 16 or 17 I would say, definitely no. My concern would be what do you have in common with this individual besides a physical attraction? I mean that is really the bottom line. It is certainly not uncommon for people to date who are 7 years apart, or even 10 to 15 years apart, but relationships tend to work best when there are appreciable age differences when there is a level of maturity and life experience on both individuals parts. For example if I am 47 and I date a 38 year old that would not be a big deal because both would have had intimate relationships by then, and experience in life, probably secure employment, and they are probably not living at home anymore.
Being 18 where are you at? Do you have steady employment? A solid group of friends and interests of your own? Are you still living at home? And what about this woman? What is her story? If you are a mature 18 year old, and you have the ability to date this woman, meaning you can afford to take her out on dates and form an intimate relationship, if it progresses, then that would be find in my opinion. You have to look at all the variables and see if there is enough commonality besides an attraction or the "thrill" that someone six years your senior has asked you out.
