Asked a boy what he thought of my friend and he said she was sweet, I haven't got the chance to speak to him again, but my friend is seriously analysing the word 'sweet' and wanting to know what it could mean ie what way does he like her? Without knowing any background, what do you think that generally means?

Just thought I'd add it was said over the internet, and that basically when they met they got on really well and there were little 'signs' eg kissed her on the cheek goodbye, gave her a couple of looks, just was generally at ease having fun around her.

That's quite tricky because it can mean different things depending on the way it was said, having said that it's a pretty non-committal kind of word, but it still doesn't mean no. Requires further investigation.

Depends on the tone of his voice. Generally though, sweet being said in a gentle manner means that he think she is a nice, kind-hearted, innocent person.

How did he say it? I could've been in his tone of voice. Sweet could mean alot of things. But I'm guessing he thinks at least that she's cool or nice.

He likes her, but has not thought about her for a relationship. However, that means he has not ruled her out wither, he's just not sure. He might just have to get to know her more.
