Why not? I know online love happens, it happened to me and now we're married. I knew I loved him before we met (we waited 3 years to meet, btw) and being w/him in person only made my feelings stronger. It can happen but I think often times it is confused with lust or just excitement from meeting someone new. Talking to people online is exciting and mysterious and I think sometimes those feelings get mistaken for love.

I would never be in love with someone on the internet because you really don't know how they are. They might be just acting like that and then when you meet them they go and change and that's how alot of teenage girls are getting killed or etc.I think love also is about how the person shows the love in front of people..

I don't think you can actually be in love with them the person, but rather the ideas of possibilities of a relationship with them. Sometimes our minds play tricks on us. Be careful though. It isn't always safe finding people for a relationship on the internet. You want to make sure they are truly who they say they are and that they have given all information correctly. I'm not totally sure how you would go about that, but I just wouldn't recommend it. It's not my decision though.

I met someone on the internet, before meeting them, and actually fell in love with them only speaking to her on the phone and IMing before meeting her.

Turns out, we've been together almost seven years since, got married, bought a house and are having our first child.

So, yes.

this is tricky, love is not defined so you may just be in love with the idea of being in love. we've all been there, this guy is so nice, compliments us, says the right things and is basically perfect in every way. you have found the perfect love. but im going to be a cynic and tell you that its easier for people to pretend they are something they arent over the internet. assuming he is honost, says who he is, is single and great then girl you hit the jackpot. otherwise i advice you to keep it on the ground and please do not meet with this person, you get all kinds of phscos. i know i wont get best answer for this but the truth must be told, even when it isnt what we want to hear. keep this guy there for your ego but don not depend on him being the one.

no because it is an unrealistic relationship. People can be too careful over the net....they can pick and choose theright things to say or be a totally different person then they really are.....a relationship can exist and a meaningful one but true love doesn't happen through typing

i think it would be a very bad idea to do that because people on the internet can make up things about themselves, you never know if there being completely honest

My answer would be: YES, it's possible. However, what would happene if she turned out to be with just one eye? Would you go on with that love or not?
