Most religions say about the same thing. I look beyond the organized religions. Where Judaism, Christianity and Islam may disagree, you'll find a Jew, a Christian and a Muslim might in fact agree. That's a very faith-strengthening realization.
My beliefs seem to coincide about 90% with most others: Jews, Christians (Catholic, Protestant, etc), and Muslims (Shi'a and Sunni).
Believe it or not, even today, religion is a way to bring people together. Unfortunately, the poor, the meek, the mournful, the merciful, the peacemakers, and those who suffer persecution for justice's sake don't seem to make the news.

Nobody can tell you what to believe ... you have to look for it.
A religion is just a way to worship The creator, God.
Do you feel the existence of God ... the creator of all there is ?
If you do , and you actually want to know more about God, then why don't you ask him yourself .. it's the best way to be 100% sure about your belief.
Just sit down alone and talk to the one who created everything and the one who has the ultimate power .. address him and ask him for guidance.
If you were honest in your wish ... im sure god will help you find your way.
Good luck

religion is a man made tool to manipulate and control man and women and child and i find it to be useless as i am an agnostic and am not sure of whether or not god exists but that doesn't mean that as a person you are more or less morally sound because certain people are religious and some are not every and anybody can have morals or choose not to have morals it doesn't matter whether or not you believe in a higher being or if you don't believe in a higher being or if you're not sure of whether or not to believe in a higher being oh and money as well as they are always asking for money whether it be through offerings or some sort of tithe

Religion is a MANMADE institution to keep 'holy' doctrines in place and establish 'holy' laws. Often involving giving money to the church in 'atonement' for your sins. That's wrong.
Christianity should not be defined as a religion. Catholism should. Real Christians that have enemies (Me included) should love and pray for thier enemies, not judge them. That's God's job.
The fact is, people can corrupt religion and start wars in the name of religion... and such, but they can't change the word of God (Bible).
Jesus came to earth to save souls, not start a religion.

Christianity, because number one it is hope and love and peace.
Number two, i have been in the occult and the occult almost killed me, Christianity has not let me down one time and buddist just wait on random events to happen and the thing that people say is a higher power is a human idol, along with Buddha, who was a good person, but I dont think a apple falling on his head made him a diety. Come join me in Christianity and fill those holes in your heart, those holes are a longing for God, and God filled them for me.

If you believe there is a higher power, or something greater than life, then religion is a way to interact with that power.
Dont base your judgement of a religion on the people who practice it, instead read about them and find the one that fits your beliefs.

I agree with Andy...I have found Buddhism to be extremely enlightening as to the human mind and training it. Buddhist believe in God but see God in everything and their true goal is happiness. It is a spiritual religion yet it helps you deal in the real world and teaches you very useful practices to handle life and grow as a person.

Religion means to do something without thought over and over.
Religion is not to be understood. You just go and give away your money and listen to someone tell you that you need to be a better person. You pay someone to be your daddy, cause you cant figure out that steeling is wrong.

I wouldn't call it a religion, but Buddhism is a way of life. It guides us for to a practical lifestyle which is based on moderation. No one can tell you what type of religion you are supposed to believe... Its up to you. Best of luck!

Regardless of religion or denomination the following is true about human nature.
At some time in our lives, we crave to believe in a protective God; one who will help us, and, hopefully, ever so hopefully, allow us to escape the "D" word; help us escape the consequences of death, and go to Heaven." - Uncle Wayne
