Not tight waves. Just loose, carefree waves, like surfer waves. (I have long hair.)

Either get a crimper (one that makes loose waves) or french braid your hair in two loose french braids the night before, like right after you wash your hair. It will dry in the french braid and when you take it out in the morning it will be wavy.

Well it really depends on if your hair has any natural waves but if so then just add a little moose when its almost dry and scrunch it up. But make sure you have enough time for it to dry on its own or with an infuser.

scrunching:
to scrunch you wash your hair; blow dry it(with the other hand srunching mouse into hair); hairspray it;

For carefree curls like jessica simpson:
use a curling iron, but dont wrap all of the hair around; just about 3 or 4 inches, hold on for 10-20 seconds: hairspray it!

=] hope that helps

For temporary waves, I would suggest using hot rollers. But don't leave them in too long our you'll end up with curls.
